The majority of the coffee grown in the world comes from the Robusta plant because it is a stable plant that can grow under many conditions. Robusta plants have a larger output of beans and become much cheaper. The problem is that the quality of the output is inferior to that of Arabica beans: they are less consistent, not as rich, high in caffeine and acid, is less aromatic and many times more bitter. For these reasons JavaJohns sells only 100% Arabica Beans.
